BDCP Center for Medicinal and Aromatic
Plants Research
This Center is located on Aku Road, Nsukka in South Eastern
Nigeria. It was established in response to the need for
dynamic comprehensive laboratory services in the country.
The center consists of a laboratory, a plant drying and
processing unit and a Conference center. This Center also
houses the BDCP Secretariat in Nsukka.
The capabilities of the Center for Medicinal
and Aromatic Plant Research include processing and standardization
of phytomedicine as well as maintaining a full herbarium
and ethnobotanical database. This center is a solution
to the dialogue being held over the years on standardization
