JONES F. DEVLIN AWARD PROGRAM

The Chamber of Shipping of America is accepting entries in the 2003 Jones F. Devlin Award Program. The Devlin Awards will be presented at the Annual Ship Safety Awards Luncheon in New Orleans, LA on June 10, 2004 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.

Devlin Awards are awarded to all self-propelled merchant vessels that have operated for two full years or more without a crewmember losing a full turn at watch because of an occupational injury. Three levels of achievement are recognized: a basic two-year award; a four-year award; and a special award, bestowed annually, for ships exceeding five years of accident-free operation.

To qualify for a Devlin Award, a vessel must be in operation with a full crew. Days in protracted lay-up resulting in crew reduction are not considered days in operation. Please complete the online form in its entirety or print out PDF. Submit a separate form for each company or subsidiary, listing the vessels operated by that company or subsidiary.

All entries must be received by Friday, April 30, 2004. Entry forms may filled out online or may be mailed to:
